 A junior weekend with international resonance!    This weekend the junior tournaments of the Tchoukball Geneva Indoors took place. The juniors came from all over the world to participate in this 25th edition. Indeed, the sports centre welcomed juniors from Switzerland, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Reunion, Hungary, United Kingdom and Hong Kong.
Saturday 10 December was dedicated to the M8, M10 and M12 categories. For many players it was their very first competition and the emotion was palpable. And despite their young age some teams showed a very, very good level of play. At the end of the day, in the M8 category, the Geneva 1 team won the tournament. In the M10 category, it is the team of Allières 1 which won the tournament. And finally in the M12 category, the ABCC Tchoukball team won the tournament.
Sunday 11 December was dedicated to the M14, M16 and M18 categories. From the morning the atmosphere around the fields was great. In every corner parents, fans and teammates were present to support and encourage the teams on the field. And in between games it was a great opportunity to discuss tchoukball and make new friends. At the end of the day, in the M14 category, the TB Spain M14 team won the tournament. In the M16 category, the TB Spain M16 team won the tournament. And finally in the M18 category, the Geneva Dragons team won the tournament.
Now that the Junior weekend is over, you have the possibility to come and see some international and high level tchoukball with the Nations Cup. The Nations Cup will be held from Thursday 15 December to Saturday 17 December 2022, at the Queue d'Arve sports centre. Each year, the size and interest in the Nations Cup of Tchoukball is growing and it is now, along with the World Championships, the most prestigious Tchoukball competition in the world. It is therefore an opportunity not to be missed and we look forward to seeing you at this exceptional tournament.  |
