Tchoukball Super Cup
Dream finals in the Brandt Arena

A great victory for the Geneva Dragons!

The Tchoukball Geneva Indoors ended yesterday. In its flagship competition, The Super Cup, spectators, present in the Brandt Arena or on our YouTube channel, were able to follow matches of incredible intensity.

The long-awaited final of the men's category of the Super Cup, during which the Geneva Dragons and Team Neuch met, kept all its promises. The 2 teams shone throughout the tournament and impressed during their respective semi-finals.

The atmosphere was hot in the Brandt Arena. Could this be due to the Dragons' style of play? In any case, this was certainly not enough to intimidate Team Neuch, who arrived more determined than ever to face the Dragons.

The final kept all its promises, everything was there: from aerial combinations, to finesse shots, to stupendous receptions… All the ingredients for a grand final were in place on Saturday night at the Brandt Arena.

Head to head throughout the match the two teams fought a battle at the top. A few minutes from the end, Team Neuch led the Geneva team by 3 small points, before having a few faults and lost points. The Dragons were able to resist and come back point by point to equalise. With less than 30 seconds to go, the Neuchâtelois led again by one point. The Dragons were able to come back to the score and Yanis Bruhin, the leader of the home team, defended the next action and scored the victory point with 2 seconds remaining!

It’s a 59 to 58, snatch victory for the Geneva Dragons team, the big winners of the Super Cup 2021!

Victory of the Swiss women's team against the Swiss M18
in the final of the mixed category

Red and white was in the spotlight in the Brandt Arena for the evening’s first final. The Swiss U18 team met the Swiss Women team to hope for the title in this Mixed tournament.

For this 100% Swiss final, we saw the fiery juniors oppose a very experienced women's team. It was a good match, with the M18s offering quick play and powerful shots, but coming up against a phenomenally solid Swiss women's team.

We were able to admire during this match, 2 different styles which met, to offer the public a high level of spectacle.

The match of the 2 selections offered a very close match, which maintained the suspense until the end of the meeting.

In the Brandt Arena, shouts, applause and the sound of bells marked the rhythm of the meeting. Then finally this visual festival and concluded with the end of the stopwatch and the final victory of the women. The Swiss Women’s team was therefore crowned with a score of 49 to 59.

Congratulations to the 2 Swiss teams for their journey, and especially for this incredible final.
